Race to Resilience Cohort

This capacity-building cohort provides structured technical assistance on climate vulnerability assessments and adaptation planning to local governments that have joined the Race to Resilience initiative. 

ICLEI will provide participants with:

  • Live, 1-hour web-based sessions monthly for five months
  • Individualized assistance on vulnerability assessments, adaptation planning, and Race to Resilience commitments during dedicated technical support “virtual office hours” for the duration of 2023
  • Peer exchange and learning, including climate adaptation best practices from internationally recognized plans / planners
  • ICLEI’s Vulnerability Assessment Toolkit, templates, and other resources

Note: Joining the  Race to Resilience  is required for participation in this cohort. To join, an elected official must sign this commitment form, which then needs to be submitted to ICLEI USA.  If you have not yet submitted a signed commitment form, contact Angelica Greco (angelica.greco@iclei.org) ASAP!

There is no additional cost to participate. ICLEI estimates the value of this instruction at $15,000 per community: 5 hours of group instruction, unlimited access to weekly office hours, access to our tools and peer network, and recognition.

Prerequisites

Open to ICLEI members only. Participants must join the Race to Resilience initiative to participate.

Who Will Participate

Up to 15 ICLEI members will participate.

Effort Level

Participants will attend live virtual training sessions. They will also have the option of participating in office hours and reviewing provided templates/resources between sessions.
