We need your help today to demonstrate the power of local climate action on the international stage. If you can share some highlights of your recent climate, energy or resilience efforts before tomorrow, Friday September 30th, they will be included in an annual report demonstrating our collective global impact, to be delivered at the upcoming UN climate meetings in Marrakesh, Morocco. This is a critical moment to demonstrate US leadership and momentum in pursuing the goals set out in the Paris Agreement.
To be included in the upcoming report, we invite you to share basic information on your city profile and at least one recent action. Examples of actions include policies, strategies, regulations, or projects. Sharing a recent success story should only take a few minutes – and if you share a recent GHG inventory or hazards assessment, reporting will help you participate in the Compact of Mayors.
