Resilient Cities – The Annual Global Forum on Urban Resilience and Adaptation is underway. ICLEI – Local Governments for
Sustainability, the World Mayors Council on Climate Change and the City of Bonn, Germany launched Resilient Cities, the first World Congress on Cities and Adaptation to Climate Change in 2010.
From the conference in Bonn, ICLEI Secretary General Gino Van Begin noted the role of cities as drivers of a sustainable future during a Reuters / New York Times interview.
Resilient Cities offers the 500+ participants insights from the state of practice in urban risk, resilient urban logistics, financing the resilient city, urban agriculture and food, and smart infrastructure among others.
