Southeast Florida is working to meet the climate action planning requirements of the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) program. Compliance with these requirements will enable local governments to apply for federal implementation funding to advance emissions reduction efforts.
ICLEI USA is providing technical assistance to support greenhouse gas inventorying and emissions reduction projections. This work will ensure that Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties develop data-driven climate action plans that align with federal funding opportunities.
The project will deliver a Priority Climate Action Plan and a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan, equipping local governments with the necessary resources to reduce emissions, improve resilience, and secure federal funding for implementation.
