The Alamo Area Climate Pollution Reduction Grant project supported local governments in meeting the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) requirements. By fulfilling these requirements, municipalities became eligible to apply for implementation funding to advance climate action.
ICLEI USA provided technical assistance, including greenhouse gas inventory development and emissions reduction projections, to guide the creation of both a Priority Climate Action Plan and a Comprehensive Climate Action Plan.
The project equipped local governments with essential climate data and planning tools, ensuring they could pursue funding for impactful emissions reduction initiatives.
