Many communities struggle to address aviation emissions as part of their Community GHG Inventory. Attendees will hear from Denver International Airport’s Amanda Sutton on some of the best practices including how to engage your airport authority, different methods of data collection and emissions allocations, as well as the tools airports can use to assist with the inventory process. Attendees will also hear how to input data from their airport into ClearPath for consistent data tracking. Anticipated audience is community staff working on GHG inventories and airport staff interested in partnering with a community to track emissions from the aviation sector.
About your speaker:
Amanda Sutton is the Sustainability Manager at Denver International Airport and is an accomplished sustainability professional with 15 years of experience in planning and program implementation. With a B.S. degree in Environmental Health and a M.S. degree in Environmental Policy and Management, Amanda has developed and implemented policies and procedures to promote sustainability and greenhouse gas emission reductions throughout her career. Her holistic approach to management allows her to engage with employees throughout an organization to develop customized solutions to address large-scale sustainability issues. In 2019, Amanda was recognized by Airport Business Magazine as one of the Top 40 Under 40 for her contributions to the aviation industry.
