ICLEI USA, Grid Alternatives, Sierra Club, and Renewable Cities have partnered with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to gather public officials and city staff July 31 – August 1 in Golden, CO, to engage in our 2nd annual facilitated dialogue on what it means for cities to transition to 100% renewable energy. Participants will learn from a range of disciplines and sectors of urban energy planning to share best practices and opportunities for economic development and social benefits, and share resources and tools.
Cities that are considering a commitment to 100% renewable energy will learn from those that are actively implementing projects towards that goal. Participants will also emerge with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities of committing to 100% renewable energy. Participants will share best practices and opportunities for economic development and social benefits and will discuss a range of resources and tools available to help them reach their goals.
The agenda is tightly packed to ensure participants maximize this valuable time together.
