GHG Forecasting, Target-Setting, and Planning for Climate Action 2020 Training Cohort

Session Dates: Weeks of July 20 – September 18, 2020

Beginning in July 2020, ICLEI will host our 2020 Target-Setting, Forecasting, & Planning Cohort Training, a structured technical assistance program to guide local governments through the steps of the Forecasting and Planning ClearPath modules in real time. The training session is available to ICLEI USA members at no additional cost.

The 6-week Session will assist up to 20 communities to utilize the Forecasting and Planning modules in the ClearPath tool.  The value of this training offering is estimated at $10,000.

By the end of the program, participants will have completed the Forecasting and Planning ClearPath modules preparing them for the development of a Climate Action Plan. Participants will learn how these processes interconnect with the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy’s Common Reporting Framework.

What assistance will you get?

Participants will have exclusive access to the following resources:

  • Live, 1-hour web-based trainings and presentations
  • Peer exchange and learning
  • One-on-one assistance with ClearPath modules

Trainings will be every two weeks and recorded sessions and resources will be made available to all. Session materials will support participants in using the Forecasting and Planning modules. 

Who should participate?

Any ICLEI USA member city, town, county, or regional association is eligible to participate. Priority will be given to local governments that participated in the 2020 Community GHG Inventory Cohort. Local governments working with interns are also welcome to apply.

The 2020 Target Setting, Forecasting, Planning Cohort will run from July through September 2020. DEADLINE EXTENDED: Applications have closed. Email your technical advisor to inquire about openings.

One-on-one check ins (Weeks of August 24 – September 7)

Session 4: Apply Results to the Climate Action Planning Process and Global Covenanty of Mayors Common Reporting Framework (Week of September 14)
